How many questionnaires can I create and
distribute?
The start-up package allows you to create and
distribute up to 100 different questionnaires if you require. Additional questionnaire allocations can be

Is there any limit to the size of my
questionnaire/s?
There is no limit to the size or complexity of
your questionnaires.
How many responses will I be able to
receive?
The start-up package provides you with an
allocation of 100 partial or fully completed responses. Additional
responses allocations can be ordered also if required. See our
Pricing Page for more
information.
How many respondents can I invite to
complete the survey?
There is no limit to the number of invitations you
send out.
What if I need to send out more
invitations to ensure I reach my target number of responses?
You can invite more respondents to participate in
your survey if you require, even after you have sent out your initial
email invitations.
How long will I be able to use the tool
for?
The start-up package allows you full use of all
features of the tool for 3 months from the date payment is received.

What types of question response options
are possible?
There is a long list of options including: Radio
buttons, check boxes, drop-down menu options, matrix response options,
narrative text options, rank, scale etc.
Does the tool have question logic or
branching functions?
Yes. You can apply logic or branching to
individual responses within a question, or to whole pages or groups of
questions.
Can I personalise the look and feel of my
questionnaire/s?
Yes. You can choose from a long list of colour
scheme combinations and add your own graphics, pictures or logos. Custom
designs are also possible. See our

Can I control whether or not a response to
a question is mandatory?
Yes, each question has this option if you require
it.
Can respondents go back and edit their
responses if they want to?
You have the option of allowing this or not. If
you only want completed surveys then you must ensure all the responses
you require have been flagged as being mandatory. You can also
predetermine whether or not you will permit a respondent to edit their
responses.
How do I make my questionnaire/s available
to my invited respondents?
You can distribute your questionnaire/s by one of
numerous options including: An email invitation containing a link to the
questionnaire, an HTML email version of the full questionnaire or a link
for your website. A pdf file of the survey for either printing or
emailing as an attachment can be ordered separately. See our
pricing page for more information.
What if I require a hard copy of the
questionnaire and how do I manually enter the written responses?
A pdf file of the survey can be ordered separately
for either printing or emailing as an attachment. See our
pricing page for more information. You can
obtain a link to the survey from the distribution menu options, so you
can manually enter the data from any handwritten responses to the
results of the survey.
Can I be alerted by email for each
completed response and/or when my target number of responses has been
reached?
Yes, you can select if you wish to be notified by
email when either individual responses have been received, or when a
predetermined number of responses have been received.
How soon can I review the responses once
my survey commences?
You can log onto your SOS-Resources account any
time during the duration of your survey and review all incoming
responses at any time.
Will I be able to review individual
responses as well as the overall results?
Yes, all data is available for you to analyse and
report on in as much detail as you require.
Is there an opportunity to check the
results and apply filters before reporting?
Yes, there are simple yet effective filtering
tools available so you can apply filtering to whichever part of the
questionnaire you require.
Can I create graphical representations of
the results?
Yes, each response can be represented in graphical
format and is easily cut and pasted into your own report if required.
Can I download my data once the survey has
been completed?
Yes. The export function only requires a couple of
mouse clicks and you can have all your data in your own Word or Excel
file. It’s that simple!
How secure is my data both during and
after the survey?
Your account is fully password protected and once
you have finished with your account and it has been closed, all of your
data will be erased completely.
What happens when my response or
questionnaire allocation runs out, or my account is due to expire?
We will contact you using your nominated email
address to advise that your account limits have been exceeded. In the
case of either your questionnaire or response limit being reached, your
existing surveys will continue to function but you will not be able to
view any of the over-limit responses until you have agreed to increase
your limit and payment for this has been received. In the case of your
account duration having been reached, we will also contact you via email
and you will have 5 working days to respond. If you are happy to close
your account without extending the duration, your account will then be
closed and your data erased.
How liable am I for complying with data
protection and privacy legislation?
Users of the SOS-Resources product accept full
responsibility for complying with any data protection, privacy or
related legislation, either in the UK or globally. Subscribers to the
SOS-Resources product are wholly responsible for their own actions in
this regard. SOS-Resources, in conjunction with Fern Marketing and
SurveyShack.com
Ltd, accept no responsibility for the actions of subscribers to the
SOS-Resources product.
How do I sign up for my SOS-Resources
account so I can start my research project right away?
Simply click on the
Contact Us button or any
of the Buy Now options on the
Prices page, provide us with your details and we’ll contact you to
arrange payment via either PAYPAL, credit card or cleared cheque. You
will receive your account login details immediately so you can get to
work on creating your questionnaire and as soon as your payment has been
received in full, you’ll be able to receive and report on responses to
your surveys!
